The course is wonderful, i have wonderful friends and God is working alot in my life, sunday we went to a local town and got out of the city which was great!! seeing sky scrappers 24x7 does nothing for me but gives me a sore throaHow can i ever explain to anyone what i am seeing, whilst i am here. People say life in africa is tough, today is wednesday and today and monday we went on the street again!! The more I see life for street children the more my heart breaks!! I have never seen life in the way I see it right now. The pain, I have tryed too run away through using dating or other things as a escape but never become addicted to alcohol or drugs. People are running from abusive fathers or mothers too prostetution, drink, drugs and life on the street and freedom!! Or what they see as freedom!!!
In uganda I am close friends with a family where the dad is a drug addicted and alcholoc I keep seeing life and what the effects of what has happened to the children and the mother through spending more and more time with these street children and learning more about children at risk!! I praise God that he has rescued the children from giving in and becoming addicted to drink and drugs, the children have difficulties and pain but each one has never given up!!
This course is like looking at life through Gods eyes. How can my life ever be the same, this week we have continued a little a bit on why pure child and what can cause a child\adult to react in a certain way!! Monday was Very PAINFUL for me we talked about escapisim and why we escapism, I used to escape to men\sex and I didnt know why!! Coming round and realising why!! Was the most amazing realisation I have ever had to go through the most painful also, facing up to the fact God is the only one who can answer my pain or hurt is awesome!!
Nothing can fit the gap or full the hole, but God!! I am learning how amazing God is, God is JELOUSE FOR A RELATIONSHIP with his children!! We often forget how much he LOVES US!! Not just the successful or strong, but the weak and poor!! We often believe we have to earn Gods love, we just need to be willing too love God and be loved him!!
Last wednesday we saw a girl who was struggling withdrawl and a man who had a heart compliate with very swollen legs (odema) and he contiunued too struggle with alcohol, you think he would of given up. But he hasnt!! Why?? Because he has become addicted and run away from the world as it hurts too much for him too face up to whats going on in his life!!
It feels like we are now having a little break after studying children and there pains, we are just studied project planning!! Unfortunately for spring of hope this means alot of work in children, as I had a realisation we dont have a project plan, so we will spend the first week or so next year writting a plan together and asking God whats next!! I will be writting a plan on Northern Uganda and how we could work up there if God leads us, it has to be written as part of the course and God has a HUGE HEART and so do I for the war child!! this week is discipline and its also homesexuality!! alot to learn and an awesome school!!!
For now let me sign off and write more on saturday or sunday!!

hello brazil
i am good, life is busy i am now working 6 days aweek, this life is so different from uganda. living in a big city is strange, seeing sky scrapers all around!! Instead of living in a rural area!!
my first week, has been busy every afternoon we have been out to visit the children´s projects!! and during the mornings we have been covering the following subjects
- respecting woman
- integilenece levels
- emotionals and problems with emotions
the projects we have been visiting the projects which are very exciting, this morning we have been out on the streets visiting the children!! The children are on the streets because they are abused or they are being treated really badly!!
we have 14 students on the course, from 10 nations!! we have many places to visit and work!! we will be working on a monday afternoon and on a wednesday and all day sat or sunday!! it is a very exciting time where i know we will be learning alot!! our placements include working in
- a community centre in the slums
- a pregant woman centre
- at risk teenage girl centre
- at risk teenage boy centre
- street kids
every friday we will be working with the street kids on the street kids, leading worship, games, and just generally hanging out with them!!
This should be fun but a challenge!! I was so nervouse about being on the street for the first time today, the drunks and alcoholics have always scaried me!! but it was amazing to hang out and play football with them!! apart from the fact that I kicked the ball too hard and it went in the river!! one of the boys ran after it!!
bless u all loads!!
